some more movies lately

The Boat that Rocked

so it's Richard Curtis. therefore you'll expect more. i mean, i will. and he never fail you. i mean, me.

this is highly recommended by Raz, claiming i should watch it due to my profession. somehow i always trusted him when it comes to movies. so i watched.

it was the 60s set up... reminds me that i haven't watch Ang Lee's Taking Woodstock, and it's like the best era of time.

it may be the lines that made the story looks funny, but i think the actors should take the credit. whoever who cast, picked them is brilliant.

i enjoyed the songs and music played. looking for the OST in a music store just now but the answer is negative.

and then i thought, why did Raz ask me to watch? it's a radio station in the open sea where the DJs can say anything (yes, even the manager slipped the f word out) and play any music. nothing even close to what i can do. then again i thought, its a nice piece from Richard Curtis. for that, you should watch. i mean, I.

oh ya, and the boy mentioned, "never had it, never miss it." -- you think so?

Perfume

finally i get to watch it.

first, it was Chocolat (by a Swedish), then Perfume (by a German), would next be Champagne? should we come up with Sambal by a Thai? anyway...

i think it is a movie about this psychic who is a born talent. but it's pathetic that he doesn't have the ability to love and never had a chance to be loved.

i like the opening very much. before he's a grown up. then i don't remember any other nice scenes. impressive acting of Ben Wishaw, extraordinary plot (courtesy to the novel). but i think i prefer Tom Tykwer's Run Lola Run.

The Wolfman

another thriller. i thought another good thriller though.

if not for Anthony Hopkins, it won't raised much of my attention. then again, the pretty Emily Blunt is a bonus.

erm, maybe i should watch the 1941 version?

Valentine's Day

disappointment. everybody says it's very good. but i think it's just o-kay...

though so, there's a story that i like. the story about this old lovely couple. message conveyed is: to take the good and bad of your partner -- acceptance.

if one gets such partner, he or she must be very much blessed...

(Night and Fog)

Chocolat

How can you missed something you've never had? You need to have/try it first, at least once. Then later decide whether you miss it or don't need it at all. Don't u think so?
