we were not celebrating Chap Goh Mei

it all started when we sat down at Dome Cafe after a very nice and satisfying dinner at Angus House KL.

Catt asked when do i want to 'settle' my corned beef at her house. i was like, "how about tomorrow?" then we started to talk about cooking and stuffs... then i said, "i've been busy with work these days that i didn't really spend time at home, so let's make it on Monday instead."

Deal. and she came out with a list that she has to prepare for Monday's cooking session. that shopping list looks like this:

so, on Monday morning, i reached her house around 11a.m. the chef is quite particular with her kitchen and utmost, her cooking mood. i then bravely prepared her a mug of coffee. some Korean coffee in single packet that i bought her a fortnight ago. "coffee will do the magic."

she's not quite happy with the coffee at first, as she claimed, "why does it taste salty?" however, she kicked off without lingering...

unlike someone else... =.=

anyway. as it was a pasta session, but i requested a vegetable dish, so CTC (Catt the Chef) got some cabbage with mushroom cooked before she started her CTC-style pasta.

though i prefer something crunchier... but i finished almost 2/3 of it. i wonder if that's the CTC magic... she must had sprinkled something on it when i was rushing off to watch the Grammy's... scratching my head, why does Katy Perry has to come out from a banana...

no. no. no. i was helping too. i didn't only take lousy pictures from my handphone and watch TV all the time. i cut them, as shown above. i also help doing the pasta:

and, i must tell Raz now, that i've tasted corned beef... no more teasing me... i probably tasted it before, but i didn't know that it is not minced beef but corned beef from the can...

and i think the best part of it is the way it has to be opened. no can opener needed! (but CTC said she saw that since childhood and wondered why am i so excited over it...)

finally the sauce is done... and i must say, it is so SWEET! yes, the taste is sweet and CTC is also so sweet to have got it cooked for me~ (",)

tada~ macaroni with tomato sauce and lots of abcdefg, garnished with fresh lettuce:

thanks ya, dear Catt...
and that wraps up my CNY 2009...

i agree with CTC, the can is very 'normal', and this proved that you don't belong in a kitchen....better sit, watch and eat...hhahahaa
