the 4th Boh Cameronian Awards
so i was there...much thanks to Naz...
i was not relevant at all. i mean, i wasn't representing my company, i wasn't doing any reporting, i wasn't nominated (of course), i wasn't VIP in any form...i JUST feel like attending.
not to mention how boring i was... met Afif (the long time no see college mate) and Angela (ex's colleague)... and i observed...
yet, i'm glad that i attended and watched 3 great performances. first, the 'Mak Yong Buka Panggung' (that is banned in Kelantan); second, a dance 'From Alarippu to Moksha' (a traditional dance but looked like Indian dance + hip hop to me...); third, 'Negaralu' (something very Malaysian).
and, i saw something else.
i saw a group of mat salleh, being supportive in developing the local arts industry.
i saw a group of local artists hunger for local recognition (as many of them was awarded overseas).
i saw the minister of culture, art and tourism was absent.
i saw the local media only focused on the celebrities instead of the theme and the spirit of the event.
i'm glad that i was there though.
